The Dead Weather

"Treat Me Like Your Mother" by The Dead Weather from Horehound (2009)

Dangerous rock'n'roll is still alive and shooting. Jack White and Alison Mosshart's vocals compliment each other very well in this battle of the sexes. White's drumming is littered with crash symbols and cowbells that, along with the distorted riff, pay homage to bands like Deep Purple while maintaining a fresh sound of their own.
NME also ranked this as the best music video of 2009 and I wouldn't dispute their choice for a second. It's a rarity for a song and video to match each other so well, but Jonathon Glazer succeeded in this clip. The action between the two leads corresponds perfectly with the song's progression and, more important than that, it's just a cool video in every sense of the word.
